My Isaac

Isaac is such a fun kid. He pushes my buttons, and if he weren't so darn cute... some days I would just.... Even in utero I could tell he was way different than my first mild mannered little baby. And sure enough, he was a stubborn, loud, chubby little jokester. He would make faces to get a reaction, I swear he was like 3 months old, and at 6 months old he was playing peek-a-boo with his blanket. Somewhere in between he learned it was funny if he head butted mommy. Yes, on purpose, it was a recurring thing, what a booger. But I swear this kid, with his long eyelashes and beautiful face can stop traffic. Just last Sunday, I was having "one of those days"... I didn't bring toys for the kids to play with during Sacrament meeting, but they had a ton of snacks. Was it too much to ask for them to just sit in their seats and eat their treats? Apparently it was. So I was constantly threatening them and placing them back in their seats, and I even took Isaac out once for a good talking too... AKA a little swat on the behind. As soon as sacrament was over, every one around us told me how cute my boys were. I think it was a "You're boys are so cute (please don't kill them)".... (Disclaimer: I would never hurt my boys! But sometimes it takes more retraint than other times.) The hugs erase all the bad. Isaac wasn't a very snuggly baby, and it killed me, because he was so completely squeezable! But now he is one of the most loving little boys I have ever known. He won't go to bed until he gives every one a giant hug AND kiss! One or the other will not do!

Not the most coherent blog ever... But I had to get one in about Isaac. The poor middle child :)

Aaron's New Tricks :)

I can't believe Aaron is 6 months old! I am so scared that if I blink, he will be ONE! He sure is a lot of fun though. He has started sitting on his own, just in the past week or so, and has gotten really good at it. He loves to grab his feet, but only when completely naked!! He also makes a weird "wookie" type noise when he is laying down. He has started eating solid foods, so far banana, avocado, sweet potato and cereal. He still doesn't know how to drink out of a bottle, he chews on it like a nerd. Today we gave him watered down apple juice because he has been constipated. He certainly figured out how to get that out of the bottle!! Not sure if he will remember how to do it when the only reward is water. He still LOVES his daddy and thinks his brothers are hilarious. He is not as sympathetic as I had hoped... he has a tendancy to laugh at other kids when they cry! Hopefully his big brothers will teach him how to be loving and care for others! He really is a fun part of our family.

Roman has a Girlfriend

Today as Roman was getting ready for school, he told me that he hoped Marianna would be there. He said she wasn't there on Monday and he really enjoys playing with her. After school he told me that he got to rescue Marianna and Ashley from the bad guys, and then he put the bad guys in jail. After dinner we made a run to Wal Mart, and on the way home Roman informed us that he was going to marry someone. I asked if he had met the person he was going to marry, and he and Ben both said "Marianna" at the same time :) I can't believe he already has a girlfriend, I do think he is pretty cute myself.

My Amazing Husband

A good friend was moving last week, and needed help cleaning the old place. Being tied down with a beautiful, yet very needy l5 month old, I volunteered to watch the children of anyone else who could help clean. This turned into 6 extra little ones(NINE TOTAL) running about our home. It was a lot of fun, but pretty exhausting.

At different times through out the morning, the kids would end up congregated around Ben. While I was starting a nutritious lunch (chicken nuggets and mac n cheese), they all circled around Ben for story time. The best is when he does his Elmo voice:) This one happened to be an exciting rendition of the Itsy Bitsy Spider.

Ben has been in the Nursery since Isaac first got in there. Isaac is now a Sunbeam, and yet Ben is still in Nursery. I don't know if he will ever get released, he is so good with kids. I am so blessed to have such an amazing man in my life.
