Do you people really post right that day, regardless of how tired you are by the end of it all? Can I post pics later?

Yesterday I got an email from my good friend, Angie Menlove, saying that she would be in town Monday to Thursday! Yay, but ahhh! Angie and I met at BYU Hawaii, and have kept in touch since, but rarely get to see her. Toady we scrambled to get together, and decided to check out the San Diego County Fair. We waited until Bonnie got off work, and then loaded up the car and headed out. Ben had to work late, so it was the three of us versus the four kids. I was exhausted from just the whole process of getting ready and in the car, but we stuck it out for almost four hours at the fair!

First thing we had to do of course was get some food, nice and fried! Then we headed over to the kiddie rides, they are not quite as smooth as the rides at Fantasyland. I had to ride Jumping Jumbos (Dumbo knock off) with the boys... I was glad that I was pregnant and not allowed to ride anything else! Actually, there was one other ride, the Shaky Bathrooms. They had these like mobile bathrooms, with "flushing" toilets (like an airplane or RV toilet) and sinks. They were trailers, and so up on blocks. I was in the middle of doing my business, and some one came in and started shaking the whole bathroom. Quite an unsettling feeling. I was dizy and sick to my stomach after that.

Coming down the walkway bridge from the kiddie land, we spotted a row of photo booths. I decided it would be great fun to cram all 7 of us into one booth. It was fairly successful, but the better pics were taken outside the booth while we waited for the booth pics to print.

Then it was time for more greasy fried food. Bonnie had fried zucchini, Angie had a fried Snickers bar, and I had an all time favorite, funnel cake! There wasn't a lot of seating, but then we found a table and four chairs free, so we snagged it. It wasn't until we had been sitting for a while that we noticed we were in the beer garden area. Oh well, a few weirdos was worth just sitting still for a few minutes. I was actually hoping that someone would get totally wasted and end up dancing in the fountain. Didn't happen, but we left before the Reggae band started, so who's to say it didn't happen later.

Well, we made it home about 930, and Isaac was actually BEGGING for bed. He didn't take a nap today, so I was not surprised, but I think that was honestly the first time he has ever admitted to being tired!

Now I am off to bed. Hope I can get up in the morning!
